David Henrie Named Honorary Grand Marshal of the 38th Annual Fort McDowell Fiesta Parade

Scottsdale native and Disney Channel star David Henrie will return home to the Valley as Honorary Grand Marshall for the 38th Annual Fort McDowell
Fiesta Parade presented by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, which will be held
on January 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in central Phoenix.

Henrie, who attended Cheyenne Elementary School and Desert Mountain High
School in Scottsdale, presently stars as Justin Russo on Disney's highest
rated show, "Wizards of Waverly Place."

The television and film star broke into acting with guest starring roles in highly regarded shows such as "Providence," "Judging Amy," and "Without a Trace" before securing a series regular role on the FOX sitcom "The Pitts," produced by Mike Scully of "The Simpsons." Here, Henrie caught the eye of one Disney executive who tracked his career and later, when he was available, cast him in the recurring role as Larry on "That's So Raven."

Film roles include "Arizona Summer," a kid's camp movie with Lee Majors, as well as Hallmark movies including "Monster Maker" with Linda Blair and George Kennedy and "Dead Hollywood Mom's Society" with Justine Bateman.

In 2004, Henrie landed yet another series regular role on the FOX sitcom "Method and Red." His ability to play a wide range of characters has allowed him to continue working steadily in numerous guest starring roles including "The DA," "The Mullets," "Cold Case," "NCIS," "House MD," "Jack and Bobby," and the hit show "How I Met Your Mother."

Henrie will star in the upcoming Disney Channel original movie "Dadnapped." And on December 31, catch Henrie hosting the Disney's Totally New Year special, alongside other cast members on "Wizards of Waverly Place," starting at 6/5 central time on the Disney Channel.

As well as acting, Henrie is paving the way for his future by creating his own production company, called YUTE Productions, where he has joined forces with other film makers and A-list writers to produce "Y-Gen" content. "The first movie I am producing and starring in will shoot early 2009. I have a book optioned with my producing partner, and am also working on an internet website, called YUTE, of course. I am writing, directing and filming webisodes to premier on the site in the near future. It will be a place where young, aspiring film-makers, from across the country, can showcase their work and have a social network. I hope this site will be like an SNL meets IFC," says Henrie.

Named one of TV Guides top 13 Young Actors to Watch and being compared to Shia LaBeouf, Henrie is sure to have continued success.
