David Henrie
Check out a short film we made "BOO"!

I've always loved to make movies with my cousins and family back home in Arizona. It's something I always knew I could do and would do one day.

I’ve come a long way since then, and am now a professional at it. I have a production company, called YUTE Productions, and I work with many talented film makers and writers and we all put our heads together to pump out the most creative content that we can. I've got a book optioned with my producing partner, and I'm working on developing a TV show with my cousin Johnny. Currently, I have a movie project I am starring in/producing early next year. So stay tuned for that announcement.

I have also been developing the YUTE website and shooting webisodes with friends in Los Angeles to premiere sometime in the near future. The goal of the website is to just have fun, film stories, and give opportunities to young storytellers to launch their projects and submit ideas. It will be kind of a young creative film-makers social network. I hope this site will be like an SNL meets IFC.

As far as my taste, I am all over the place. I love the style of comedy today; I guess "Apatow" would sum it up. I like to write witty, fun comedy, as well as drama along the lines of "The Sopranos" (gotta keep in touch with my Sicilian roots!). Comedies I liked this summer were "Tropic Thunder," "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Pineapple Express." But, I am big on drama and the classics such as "Casablanca," "Citizen Cane," "The Godfather," "Raging Bull," and love to find filmmakers in the independent world like "Dead Girl" and "The Wrestler." Sundance is great place to see indies and I go every year. I loved the movie "Once."

My ultimate goal is to produce and write my own movies, and star in some of them as well. I want to have the freedom to tell stories and express my vision as an artist. Just like what Jon Favreau/Vince Vaughn, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Apatow are doing. Controlling their movies and creating what they want.
