David Henrie Television - Cold Case

Cold Case

I'm proud of this role. It was something that stretched my dramatic reel and showed a different side to my acting. (It also racked up the death count of people I've killed in my acting career - haha.) In order to get into the mood for my most emotional scene, which was when I made the decision to kill a little girl in the middle of the woods, I listened to a somber song, "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton.

David Henrie Television - The Pitts

The Pitts

This was my first ever series regular role. I was about 13. It was hard to juggle the hours of school with working on an ensemble show, but I rose to the challenge. Petey Pitt was a fun, twisted character who was very out there. I was lucky to work with the best cast: Lizzy Caplan, Dylan Baker, and Kelly Waymire. Shout out to Mike and Julie Scully, the EPs on the show, and producers of "the Simpsons." I owe you guys for kick-starting my career. These guys were ahead of their time with this show and I guarantee if you watch the shows you will think they are really funny. And of course I have to mention the casting directors who found me, Barbie Block and Sally Stiner. I was the very first person they auditioned and was lucky enough they remembered me after probably seeing a million other kids for the role.

David Henrie Television - Method and Red

Method & Red

This was my second series with FOX. I played Skyler, the white kid next door who loved to crash Method and Red's parties. It was one of the most impressive sets I've ever worked on; FOX put a lot into the show. I gained a lot of experience and credit and met a lot of talented producers and directors. Shout out to the EPs and Method/Red of course. Their nickname for me was "Shorty." But I am not so short any more! Those guys were hilarious on set. I remember Red Man decided to take a golf cart that was parked next to where we were shooting on the lot and he went around knocking over cones in the street because he just felt like it. Everyone was pissed but I was cracking up.

David Henrie Television - Thats So Raven

That's So Raven

I really appreciated this show. It was the first show that I'd done that actually appealed to people my age. Everything I'd ever done before this was all adult shows, and always working with adults. When I stepped on this set everyone was so warm and welcoming. I loved working again with a live audience show. Plus I made some friends that I still have today. I just found out recently that a Disney executive was tracking me from my role as Petey Pitt and when the opportunity came to cast me in a part, he did and then kept using me as the best friend to Cory. I played the role of Larry and because I was a recurring role I wasn't always available to shoot because I was working on "Method and Red." So that is why you see Larry as this little kid in some episodes, then other times he was a teenager.

David Henrie Television - How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother

This show was so much fun, and so easy to do. I would go in once a month, shoot four episodes in two hours, and bounce - haha! Since my character is always suppose to be a 14-year-old boy on a couch we filmed what they thought would be the last episode! But hanging on the set with the actors Josh Radnor, Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel on a show that took off to be a big hit is very cool!
David Henrie Television - The DA

The DA

This was an emotional role for me. I had to play a demented sociopath, fun! haha. One of my first crying scenes was in this show. I remember being nervous and not knowing how to handle it, but I had to just calm myself down, put myself in the scene and make it real. That's all it's about - making it real, and I did it. This was a confidence booster for me. We actors are constantly being judged - but that's why I love the challenge.

David Henrie Television - Without a Trace

Without a Trace

This was the very first episode of season one, so there was a lot of pressure. And we all know how well this show did for many years! How cool is that to say I was the first person that went missing? A lot of people still remember that episode about the kid (me) that got lost on the New York subway on his way to Yankee Stadium. Everyone was really cool, especially Anthony LaPaglia. It was a very positive experience and gave me confidence as an actor.

David Henrie Television - Arizona Summer

Arizona Summer

This was a really fun movie to film especially since it was shot where I am from in Arizona. My brother Lorenzo had a lead role in it so that was really cool. It was about a kids' camp in the desert and it felt like we played the entire time, since we were always in scenes where we were challenging the other team in games. They show this movie a lot on cable now. It's a fun family movie.
David Henrie Television - House MD

House MD

I worked with Daryl Sabara on this and funny how it is such a small industry because now he has been on "Wizards" a couple of times. And I had even had to turn down a feature film working with Daryl Sabara because I was tied up on a show. He's a great guy.

NCIS

Mark Harmon was so nice and the rest of the cast. Guest starring on shows like this in between projects is always great.

David Henrie Television - Monster Makers

Monster Makers

This was really cool because this movie was part contemporary and part 1950's style of acting. And I got to play a normal kid and a kid who was transformed to the bad guy from another era of time. I also had the honor of working with George Kennedy and Linda Blair from the Exorcist!

David Henrie Television - Providence

Providence

This was my first ever role on TV. I was nervous and I didn't really know what was going on. All I knew was that when I heard "action" I was to say my lines - haha. It went well and Mike Farrell helped me a lot.
